UNC vs. Michigan State Halftime Thoughts

Wow... what a fun game to watch. Both teams score a lot of points, and Michigan State looked great -- but Carolina still leads by 14 points.

Hansbrough had a quiet 16 points in the first half. Interesting that it took ESPN up until just before tip-off to figure out it was his ankle not his shin that stiffened up on the way back to Maui. Nice reporting...

Gee, do you think the NBA told Green and Lawson to work on their three point shooting?

Lawson and Green can nail it from anywhere, and with Ellington, Drew and Ginyard I dare say this is Roy's best three point shooting team at Carolina. There are just too many options to defend. Heck, I forgot to mention Frasor who can sneak a couple in a row.

Ed Davis continues to be impressive, but the Heels certainly wish they had Delvon Roe to compliment him. I wonder if Roe wishes he picked the Heels just so he could play on this team.

I don't think there is a top 10 program I respect more than Michigan State. Tom Izzo is the man, and his teams play smart basketball.

Thompson had a brace on his hand. Uh oh...

I would like to see the Heels play better defense in the second half. Michigan State has made some pretty impressive shots, but the Heels need to shut them down to truly blow me away.
